The Australian Centre for Montessori studies offers practical teacher training workshops & will offer:

• A distance education program;
• An Advanced Diploma in Montessori studies;
• Diploma in Montessori studies; and
• Certificate 1v in Montessori Studies in the year 2000.

These diplomas are recognized as approved teacher training qualifications for all DETE pre-schools & after school hour care workers.

The "Australian Institute of Montessori Studies" was originally established in 1992 to deliver a Montessori Studies strand of units as a major area of study in the BEd (Conversion ) programme at Curtin University. The Institute is now able to offer a diverse range of teacher education programmes including those offered in cooperation with Curtin University.

The Institute is operated by an executive of Montessori professionals, with considerable experience in Montessori education in the Australian community.
